Wayne Best, the esteemed founder of Best Service Company, a beloved father and visionary entrepreneur, departed from us on Friday, November 24th, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and excellence. His battle with stage 4 prostate cancer was valiant, but ultimately, he succumbed to the metastasis of the disease. Wayne passed away peacefully at the age of 84, surrounded by the love of his family, particularly his devoted wife, Marietta, in the comfort of their home.
Wayne Best's life was a tapestry woven with numerous achievements and milestones. In 1983, fueled by a passion for helping others, he embarked on a journey to establish Best Service Company. With unwavering commitment and a steadfast belief in putting people above profit, Wayne cultivated a company that became synonymous with reliability and superior service. Throughout his tenure, he instilled values of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in every aspect of the business, setting a standard that has endured over the decades.
Even after retiring from active involvement in the company at the age of 78, Wayne's indelible imprint remained. He entrusted the reins of Best Service Company to his capable sons, Anthony Best and Sean Van Wyk, ensuring that his legacy would be carried forward with the same passion and dedication that he exemplified. Today, as we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the profound impact he has had on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
